Saints and Scripture Sunday

Psalms 34:18
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

My husband lost his brother this week, which has left me at a loss for words. I’m hurting for my husband, my mother in law, my husband’s siblings and for Erin’s children. I’m trying to help in the only way I know how — supporting my husband, helping with funeral plans and praying for the family that I love so dearly.

Eternal rest, grant unto him O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May they rest in peace.
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

May the God of all comfort give you and your family peace. It is difficult to say fare well – see you later to a loved one!
We have many questions that will not be answered to our satisfaction while we are here on earth. We will need to wait and ask Jeus later, as he wipes away our tears.
