Saints and Scripture Sunday

2 Maccabees 12:46

It is a wholesome and holy thought to pray for the dead that they may be loosed from their sins.

This weekend cannot pass for any American, without thoughts of where we were nine years ago. We will forever recall the fateful events, and perhaps discuss them with our children one day. We will always hold dear those who lost their lives, and those who died helping others.

The American Pieta

I’ll be taking moments this weekend to pray for those who lost their lives, the families left behind, and the brave men and women who helped rescue so many. Please remember all members of the armed forces, emergency workers, police and firefighters for helping to keep us safe as well.

Amen. I have been praying as well. This tragedy has been forever etched in my mind and heart.

Thanks once again for hosting Saints & Scripture Sundays. 🙂

It’s another day that will live in infamy, sadly.
