Makes My Monday: No Harm, No Foul

By Dianna Kennedy 2 Comments

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen this picture on Friday.

I’m not entirely sure what happened.

I was in the bedroom, when I heard a crash. (not uncommon in my house) Adam came running out of the kitchen …. “Momma, I so sorry. I broke the glass.”

I walked into the kitchen and just sighed. The oven door was shattered – right before Christmas dinner with my mother.

I hugged Adam, and loaded everyone up in the van for gymnastics.

I was too tired to even yell.

Today, there are many families who would give anything for another chance at a hug or a kiss from their sons or daughters.

I’m counting my blessings and cherishing my family, broken oven and all.

Many thanks to my twin momma pal Cheryl for always encouraging us to share what Makes our Mondays.

As I was reading some of the tidbits about the children who died, one really reminded me of my preschooler. May I be slow to harp and quick to hug for the very reasons you write.
