Just when I was finishing my post for this week, it dawned on me that it was Father’s Day.
Whoops.
No matter what the holiday, I always seem to be a day late and a dollar short. Much to my dismay, I’m not a very organized person, and my plans for a wonderful Father’s Day for Brett have gone a bit askew. We will be celebrating later this week, when I’ve recovered from working the weekend.
My husband waited many years to have children, and jumped into fatherhood with both feet. I don’t think he could have ever imagined 3 children in just over 2 years, but he’s handled our little corner of chaos wonderfully. From confirmed bachelor, to a solid family man, his endless amount of patience with the Kennedy Kaboodle never ceases to amaze me.
Happy Father’s Day, Brett! Thanks for blessing me with our beautiful, healthy children. I look forward to many more years of celebrating with you!
No new saints today – you can check out my husband’s name sake, Saint Brendan, and my favorite saint for fathers everywhere, Saint Joseph.
Be sure and celebrate with your favorite father today!
