Don’t look at the calendar, but we’re midway through July.

I’m not entirely sure what’s happened to my summer, but we’re looking at about 6 more weeks until we start school again. (ahem. Well, first I have to actually finish first grade with Rachel. But that’s a different story.)

Before I start pulling out all the craft supplies and books, and try to figure out how I’m going to keep a newly walking baby out of the crayons, I’m going to need a bit of a break.

  8. My prayer and coffee breaks happen in the early morning before the rest of the family is awake. Weather permitting, I’d be watching a beautiful sunrise from the back porch.

  10. I would reflect and write in my journal about things that the Lord speaks to me in my quiet times. These are the times that keep me balanced and able to continue through difficulties with joy and peace!

    I try to find a quiet space and just try to listen for God. Sometimes I’m led to pray for someone, sometimes I’m led to look out for something that day. Most times I simply try to give thanks.

    Prayer time…I would love to say that I would spend it all in prayer, but it seems that there are always interruptions. Is that just my life?! Something that I am continually working on.
