First Day of School, Twin Style

by Dianna Kennedy on August 26, 2010

I’ve been flipping back and forth between dreading this day, and thinking it couldn’t happen soon enough.

The boys went off to ‘school’ for the first time on Tuesday, and it went off without a hitch.

I had ordered the world’s most adorable backpacks from Skip Hop, but since I waited until the last minute, we didn’t have them in time for school. Improvising is key — my grandmother had recently made the Kaboodle some toy bags. These worked perfectly for the boys to take to school.

Minor hair issues aside, we got to school in one piece, and on time.

They seem to love it — amazingly, they even took a nap! I’m not sure what the teachers are doing there that I’m missing at home.

I’ll try to get some pictures up of Rachel, in her class soon as well.

Aw, so sweet. Does mama get an extra dose of emotions with doubles? Just curious. Cause if that was the case I’d be in trouble.

These two really, really do melt me. Not sure if it’s because they are twins, or boys, or my youngest, or what!

My grandmother is a total rock star, in about a million different ways. Yes, she MADE them, and one for Rachel, too. If I beg her, she might make a tutorial for us
