While at Bloggy Boot Camp back in March, I was lucky enough to meet Mary, from The Mommyologist. Adorably cute and amazingly funny, she’s introduced a new concept to her readers recently, and issued us all the challenge.
Are you Mom Sexy? And if you’re not, what are you going to do to bring it back?
I will admit, I am 100% mired in frump. I’m a woman who was playing tennis three times a week when I met my husband, yet still had time to get pedicures, and spend my evenings out with friends.
Now? I hate admitting this, but the last time I treated myself to a pedicure was when I was pregnant with the boys. If you need help with the calculations, they will soon be 2. As in 2 years old. Eeek!
What’s holding me back from feeling and being Mom Sexy?
Fatigue, pure and simple.I’m not old, but three children in twenty-five months has seriously kicked my butt, and then some. Chronic sleep deprivation takes a huge toll on this momma’s mojo.
What am I going to do about it? Short of slipping my children sleeping pills, there’s not a whole lot I can do about the boys’ sleeping habits besides cope better. My plan is to take larger doses of the happy pill called EXERCISE — setting it as a priority for myself. I feel better, sleep better, act better, and look better when I go to the gym. Plus, if I’m by myself, I can always sneak off to the nail salon on the way home.
Head over to Mary’s and share what’s holding you back. We’re all in this together!
