Today’s topic is “6 things (good or bad) that you credit your mother-in-law for.” Head here if you’d like to join in!
I’ll be honest – I’ve not always had the best relationship with my mother-in-law. Mainly because I can be a pretentious brat, but we’ll overlook that! Here are 6 things I’m grateful for, or things I love about her.
1. She has an amazing relationship with her husband, and one I hope to emulate. She and Pat have been married for 58 years — that’s a goal for which I’m striving.
2. She’s beautiful, and I have YET to see a bad photo of her.
3. She raised my husband to be kind, well-mannered, chivalrous and incredibly considerate of women; which helps my marriage tremendously.
4. She continues to be a pillar of grace and strength, even during some pretty darn hard times in her life.
5. She loves her family, and as huge as it is, always makes time for birthday parties, baby showers, graduations, and other family gatherings.
6. She’s welcomed me and Abby into her family fold, without question.
Betty, I know you may never read this, but hope that Brett, Laurie and some of the grandkids tell you how I’ve bragged about you online! I love you, and sorry I haven’t told you before how special you are.
Hang in there — I’m praying for you.
