Writer’s Workshop — First Time!

by Dianna Kennedy on April 9, 2009

So, MamaKat’s picture in her blog header is a scream …. cause I’ve felt like that before .. just have to have a smoke and drink while I cook and clean. (I am KIDDING …. you KNOW I do not smoke. Yuck)

Anyway …. I’m joining in her weekly writer’s workshop for the first time. I honestly don’t remember how I found her blog, but it’s a riot!

2.) What is your role in the household?

Why do I feel an evil laugh brewing here??

Phew! Being the mother of 4, with 3 of those being 3 and under, I have MANY hats, obviously.

– Milk Makin’ Momma: my boys are almost 11 months old, and still nursing like champs.

– Laundry Lolita: Oh, buddy. Tide needs to pay me some sort of frequent users’ bonus. Laundry for 6 people — the littlest folks go through at least 2, sometimes 3 outfits a day; Rachel’s a 2 outfitter, finally, then there’s Abby, with 1, and Brett and I with 1, sometimes 2 outfits per day. (depends on how much food the boys get on me!) There’s a load right there, not counting towels, etc. I am responsible for washing/drying/folding .. Brett and Abby have to put their own clothes away, and I RARELY iron anything.

– Bath time Boss:
I think it’s important for my children to get baths each night … theoretically, I like to think that it helps them get ready to go to bed, but it really just provides entertainment for me.

– Playgroup Planner/Participant:
I have a huge circle of wonderful momma friends, and we get together frequently to blow off steam with our children. I haven’t been as active as I’d like to lately, but that will be changing soon, I hope!

– Party Planner:

Birthday party planning falls to me … sometimes I do well, sometimes I slack off.
– Catholic Church Champion:
My faith is incredibly important to me, and it’s important that I get all of my family, little ones included, off to church. Of course, watching my family at church is an entertaining event, no doubt. Just ask my mother.
– Childrens’ Chef:
This is actually a shared duty, between myself and my husband, with him picking up the lions’ share, really.
– Wonderful Wife:
tooting my own horn? Nope … just quoting my husband. I love you, Brett, if you are reading, and I thank you for putting up with me.
Run over to Mama’s Losin’ It, and join in the fun!
